MPW Track Bike: Part 3 – Rims & Calipers

Time flies! Especially when you’re trying to manage an online parts business as well as get a track bike sorted out! Since our last post on the track bike, we have had the rims powder coated and the fairing painted. We called in a favour from Sean’s friend for the paint job. Apparently my initial designs were far too adventurous, so we’ve ended up with something a bit more simple that we will customise with vinyl decals later… But first, rims!

Rims & Tyres

We decided on satin black – I think they came out well. Will be good to fit some R&G rim tape to finish them off…

Once these were back from the paint shop, Sean fitted our Michelin Evo Cup tyres.

Calipers

After splitting and cleaning – years of road muck cleared out and ready for assembly.

Rebuilt and complete with new pads!

Sam took some time to clean and rebuild the front calipers, installing new pads and seals. Next jobs are to clean the front forks, reinstall the wheels and fit the HEL brake lines and new radiator.

Visit our website to see our full range of brake pads and REZO discs.
