Michelin Fit2Go Motorcycle Bike Motorbike TPMS Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
Introducing our first tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for motorcycles, mopeds, scooters and all two-wheel modes of transport - bringing new levels of safety to riders for whom tyre condition is paramount.
Michelin TPMS - Bike detects a tyre in distress through loss of pressure, fast leakage or an increase in temperature - often the sign of an impending blowout. Its compact display flashes as brightly as a mobile phone torch if it detects an issue, plus identifies whether it is the front or rear tyre affected.
Can be fitted in less than two minutes, bringing the same direct TPMS technology already proven in the passenger car and van markets to two-wheels for the first time.
- Receive warnings of under-pressured or even over-pressured tyres
- 2 Minute set-up
- Supplied with both front & rear valves
- 3 Month battery time, simply USB chargeable
- 12 Month warranty (Needs to be registered through Michelin)
What's in the box?
What do I do if I have a technical issue?
Michelin TPMS is designed to be 'plug-and-play' and we'd be surprised if you encounter any technical issues. But if you do, just get in touch with us!
When cleaning my wheels can I wash the sensors?
This is not a problem, however please avoid using specific wheel cleaning chemicals which may, in some cases, attach themselves to the sensor. This may give the effect of a discolouration of the sensor, which can only be removed with rigorous cleaning.
What speeds can the system operate at?
This has been tested at high speeds. Even if you have a Suzuki Hayabusa parked in your garage, it'll still work perfectly when you hit the road.
Are the sensors waterproof?
The sensors are waterproof and have been tested to IP67 rating which is a 1 metre depth. However, we don't recommend that they are left immersed in water permanently as this can cause corrosion over time.
How do I switch the display readout from psi to bar?
Simply remove and replace the receiver from its magnetic base three times in quick succession, and the readout will change. Complete the process a second time to revert back.
Can the system be used off road?
The receiver is held in place through magnetism, so very extreme off road conditions may have the potential for the receiver to become dislodged in the holder. We therefore do not recommend it be used in such conditions.
Do I need to have my wheels balanced after fitting the sensors?
Our TPMS sensors weigh less than 8g each, and most wheel balancing weights are typically 10-60g (although some can be as small as 5g). In our experience, the effect of adding the sensor is minimal and for the average bike owner, there is no requirement for balancing. However, we understand that high-performance riders seeking the ultimate performance from their bikes will naturally want to balance their wheels after fitment.
